Areas & Points of Interest
Kate has kindly offered to lead this Thursday's run, and it'll be an Ōtepoti classic. Meeting at Bethunes Gully at the end of North East Valley, we'll head straight up Mt Cargill. After recent maintenance, the track is in amazing condition, so get a taste before 600 runners bomb down the track during the final stretch of the Three Peaks race later this month. Barring any spontaneous side trips (Organ Pipes, Butter's Peak 🤔), it'll be about 8.5 km and 550-600 metres of vert. The forecast for Thursday looks to be improving, but pack an extra top as it can be cold and exposed at the top. Thanks again Kate and have a great run!
