Trails
The inhabitants of North Dunedin's student quarter are returning, so it is time to explore the tracks and trails starting from the heart of studentville. We'll meet at Woodhaugh Gardens (George Street entrance) and run up through the Gardens, along the Upper Leith, across the stepping stones and up School Creek before swinging back to Ross Creek Reservoir. Travelling through Craigeburn to the base of the Pineapple, we'll take in the joys of the McGouns climb, before pushing up the old Pineapple. Reaching the top of the Pineapple Track, it is time to head down, back through Craigeburn and the Creek. Here we will cross the top of the dam and head down its face so we can take in the new art installation before gliding down the way we came to Woodhaugh Gardens. Should be a neat 12.5-13 km this week with just shy of 700 metres total ascent. All welcome, see you there.
