Trails
Time for a bit of sand! Meet at the end of Seal Point Road for this great wee circuit. There is usually plenty of interest on the transit across Sandfly Bay dodging Sea lions - a much easier exercise in good light. At the eastern end of the beach we'll pickup the track ascending Sandymount. A brilliant workout for the calves in that 'lovely' soft sand. Once at the top we turn towards Sandymount Road and the coast down to the junction with Hoopers Inlet Road, before the steady climb up to Highcliff Road. It is then a matter of a short stint on Highcliff Road before the undulating excitement of the descent down Seal Point Road to the cars. Estimated distance of 10.5-11 km and approximately 530 metres of total ascent. A bit of beach, track, unsealed and sealed road on this week's outing. The weather forecast looks good, but we got caught in heavy rain last September - come prepared.
