Areas & Points of Interest
It's been a while since we've been to the top of Te Pahuri o te Rangipohika Signal Hill. Meeting at the *front* carpark at Logan Park High School, we'll head up the grunty Telecom Track to the lookout, then further upwards to the top of Signal Hill, being sure to touch the trig so it counts 😁. From the top, it's a flowing descent across farmland to Upper Junction at Cleghorn Street, simultaneously taking in the (hopefully) stunning harbour views. From Upper Junction, it's a nice and gentle glide down to North East Valley, followed by a couple of km along North Road. We can't finish up on asphalt, though, so we'll swing a hard left up Blacks Road (the faster of us can try for the segment crown), then head back toward Logan Park via the "secret" connector track and a final short jaunt down the Big Easy. In total, we'll hit around 13 km and 570 m. Unfortunately, dogs aren't permitted on the Cleghorn Street track due to livestock. Headlamps are required and warm layers are advised. All welcome and see you there!
