Route Details

We'll try combining parts of a couple of different routes this week to see how it goes. Meeting at the Leith Saddle walkway carpark at the top of the northern motorway, we head across the road up to the rocky lookout, then onwards up the Clouds of Leith walkway to the forestry road, the back down the Three Peaks track to Leith Valley Road. From here, it's a short trot to the Morrison's Burn access road which we'll head up, before taking on the ever-present mud on the short route to the Powerline Track to reach the microwave station on Swampy Summit. The final part of the run is the nice descent down the Leith Saddle walkway. In total, it'll be just 13 km and 750 m of vert. The weather forecast looks great at this stage, but come prepared (as always).

First "proper" trail run in ages. Felt pretty good but fitness def needs some work. Nice to welcome a couple of new faces to the crew
