Mihiwaka and Cutten

This week's run will start at the Organ Pipes carpark (see location). It is a small area, but approx. 200 metres before the carpark (coming from Dunedin) there is a pull-in area on the right. If using this area, please do not block off the private driveway situated at the far end of the pull-in area. The loop I'm planning is one of David's but I'm 80% sure I'll be able to get the right tracks :P To start we'll head along Mt Cargill Road for about 4-5km. This is on tarmac so some reflective gear or rear lights will be good for visibility. We'll turn off at Cedar Creek Bullock Track, making our way to the reservoir. From there we'll head up the trail to Mihiwaka, before heading back the same way to the reservoir and up Mt Cutten. Then we'll do our best to find Quarry Track, which will take us back down to Mt Cargill Road. Then it's just 1.5km along the road back to the cars. All up, this week's run is about 10-11km, with 500m of ascent. Remember your headtorches and warm layers. See you Thursday!
