Areas & Points of Interest
Late posting this week. Simply put: busy and had been hoping for the continuation of ice cream weather….oh well. Let’s meet at the Pineapple car park (see location) and from there head up the exfoliant track (a.k.a. Davies Track). After pushing our way through the scrub and flax near the top it’ll feel like a breeze emerging onto the track to Flaggy. We’ll then retrace out steps and nip across to the Firebreak Track for a short loop, before returning to the top of the Pineapple. Descent is rapid, but watch out for the turn onto McGouns for the final glide back to our vehicles. Should be a shorter run, but still varied trail conditions and some elevation. Estimated distance of 8 and-a-bit km and 500 metres of total ascent. Fingers crossed for a return to the scorchers we’ve been experiencing (or at least somewhere in between).
