First Daniel, now Kate steps in. Kate isn’t messing about either! She has a big route planned, ascending Mt Cargill, but starting and finishing from Woodhaugh Gardens (see location). The planned route does allow a “bang-out” option if the weather is inclement. Admittedly, Thursday evening’s weather does look a little “iffy”. Starting at Woodhaugh Gardens there is a bit of road travel up to Bethunes Gully before hitting the now familiar route to Cargill’s summit. If the weather looks/is less-than-average the opportunity to retrace your steps exists. Otherwise, the plan is to descend the Cowan Road/Patmos Avenue route down to Malvern Street and back to Woodhaugh Gardens. The full route is approx. 17 km and an estimated total ascent of around the 650-700 metre mark. Enjoy team and I’ll see you next week!
