Areas & Points of Interest
The last Biv run before the clocks spring forward! It’s time to return to Sandfly Bay and Sandymount. Prepare those calves for the burn as we head up the long sandy slopes. Meet at the end of Seal Point Road (see location). Leaving the car park, we descend to the beach before the always interesting transit along the length of the Bay. Then the work really begins, as we work our way up to the summit of Sandymount. Leaving the summit, it’s a flowing downhill on unsealed road, before we climb the same road to Highcliff Road. A short section along Highcliff ends with the undulating affair of Seal Point Road begins as we descend back to the car park. Head lamps definitely still required for this one, particularly as we’ll be along Highcliff Road after sunset. The weather looks okay at this point, but come prepared. An estimated distance of 11 km and somewhere in the vicinity of 500 metres of ascent. See you there.
