A game of two halves!

The evenings are just that little bit lighter now. It’s only a month until the clocks spring forward. This week we’ll meet at the Bull Ring car park (see location). Heading down Longridge Road for a kilometre or so, we’ll turn down Smeaton’s Road/Track to emerged onto the lower section of Longridge Road. We then have a steady uphill along Flagstaff-Whare Flat Road. At the junction with Rollinsons Road, we’ll rejoin the track network to avoid having to change our name to Road Runners. Using Smithy’s, Possum Busters and the Jim Freeman’s Tracks we’ll emerge onto the Firebreak Track for an easy jog back to the Bull Ring. Headlamps still required and always worth bringing an extra layer. Forecast maps hint at the possibility of some showers. An estimated distance of around 12.5 km and some 600 metres of total ascent.
