Tempting fate?

It’s time to tempt fate, run the gauntlet….. Starting at the car park on Seal Point Road (see location) we’ll descended the sand dunes to Sandfly Bay with her resident sea lions. However, we’ll immediately swing up Morris Creek and head for the hills! Emerging onto Ridge Road we then climb to Highcliff via Sandymount Road. Then follows a 3 km stretch on tarmac through Pukehiki to the top of the Paradise Track. Descending to the junction with the Highcliff Track, we’ll turn left and head out to Braidwood Road and back towards the cars. An estimated distance of 12 km and some 500-odd metres of total ascent. Headlamps essential and, perhaps, bright clothing as we transit along Highcliff for a sizeable section of this route. See you there.
