Route Details

The trail deities may be offended, but we’ve started off down this path with our recent deliberations as to our favourite Patti’s and Cream selections. This week’s outing is an excuse for an icecream! Mind you, who needs an excuse? Starting at Mornington Park (see location) the route will take in as many of the Town Belt’s paths and tracks as possible. Obviously, there are unavoidable road sections and the conditions underfoot are pretty good (might be a road shoe selection). It is an undulating affair, with plenty of decent grinds and descents. The route specifics are: an estimated distance of 13.5 km; uncertain total ascent (perhaps 400 metres). This route is firmly in the category of the bring a brew up Signal Hill epics. Should we reinstate those? It’s all in aid of a bit of fun and, let’s be honest, the best icecream in this part of the world.
