Saunter with Sándor

We were introduced to Mihiwaka and Mt Kettle before Christmas. We discovered that a trail angel(s) had improved track markings and signage making it a really easy area to explore and enjoy. Sándor will once again show as around his extended backyard! We'll congregate at the Port Chalmers Golf Club (see location) and enjoy a there-and-back adventure up to the summits of Mihiwaka and Mt Kettle. Come prepared with a head torch, extra layers (including a windproof layer - it can be exposed on the summit of Mihiwaka) and energy for a good grunt up to Cedar Farm road and beyond. An estimate of 9-10 km and a total ascent of approximately 660 m. Hope as many of you can make it! A brilliant area of trails.
