Return to Silversteam

Super prepared this week with the earliest posting in Biv Runners history! Time to return to the wonders of Silverstream. Starting at the Silverstream/Whakaehu car park we'll run up Racemans Track to the beginning of the North Coal Creek ascent. The track up North Coal Creek has received some much needed work and is in pretty good nick. We'll follow it up to the junction with Little Coal Creek Track before heading to the trig at the top of Steve Amies Track. It's all downhill from there (well, there are a couple of sneaky ascent sections on the way down) back to the waiting cars. Remember to come prepared as always, but hopefully head torches can be kept in the packs. Estimated distance of 12.5 km and 500 metres of total ascent.
