We're approaching the shortest day and the forecast for Thursday night looks proper wintry. There is bush coverage for the majority of the route. The rain is forecast to ease, but it'll be cool, so plenty of warm gear is essential. However, there is a decent wee ascent in this one, so that'll warm us up. Meet at Silverstream car park and we'll run up Racemans track for 4-5 km before ascending Little Coal Creek track to the junction with Steve Amies. We'll come down Steve Amies track before cutting onto Tunnel track for the canter home. The estimated distance is around 11.5 km with approx. 530 metres of ascent. Don't forget your headlamp.
