Route Details

This week we'll head back peninsula-ward. Meeting at the Smails Beach car park, we'll immediately hit the hills for the slog up the mighty Karatai track. Continuing onto Karatai Road, we'll head onward to Highcliff Road for a short road section to the top of Buskin Track. What follows is an often boggy but fun descent toward Boulder Beach, meeting the intersection with Highcliff Track for the leg-burning climb back up and along the cliffside. From the top, all that's left is another short road section back to the top of Karatai to send it back to the start. All up, it should be just under 12 km and around 500 metres of vert. As always, head torches are required. The wind is often strong around here, so an extra layer is a must! See you there!

A really shitty💩run tonight, Buskin having been fairly well trampled and sullied by the local bovine population! Good fun otherwise, cool and starry with a stunning sunset Nice to see the 🔵⚪️ Leith dune's crew on the way to the start
