Embracing the darkness

This week we'll set off from the top of the northern motorway to take in some of the higher sights of the city. Meet at the carpark at the top of the first hill on the Northern Motorway. The car park entrance is off Waitati Valley Road, near the Leith Saddle Track. The run will be approximately 12km, with 500m of ascent. We'll start off by heading along the Pipeline Track then make our way up Burns Track. Once we arrive at Swampy Ridge Track, we'll climb up to Swampy Summit. Running past the "UFO" we'll run to the microwave tower and down the Leith Saddle Track back to the carpark. Please remember to bring your head torches and extra layers (always pays to be prepared for any weather in Ōtepoti 😆)
