Areas & Points of Interest
Lizzie's in the lead again this week, with a great route planned over some favourite trails. Meet at the entrance to the Tomahawk lagoon reserve on Oregon Street, we'll head up the hill towards Smails Beach, and continue on up the marvelous Karetai track. Form the top, there's a bit of a stretch of road as we head for the Soldier's Monument, but the views are worth it! After taking in the sights, we'll send it down 41 Peg track back to the start. All up, it should be just over 11 km and approaching 500 m of vert. As we are crossing farm land, dogs are sadly not able to join again the week.
