G̶r̶a̶e̶m̶e̶'̶s̶ ̶G̶r̶u̶n̶t̶ Haere Rā, Headlamps!

Graeme is in the lead this week, and as always he's got a planned. Meeting at the Bullring car park (bottom of the Pineapple Track) on Whare Flat Road, there's gentle warmup this week as we head up Flagstaff to the lookout, the onwards to the shortcut track across to the fire break track and Swampy Ridge track. It'll be a windy and possibly muddy trot all the way to the Three Peaks Summit at the microwave station. From here, it's a quick send through the flax shoot to the Powerline Track, then back up to retrace our steps along Swampy Ridge, before a final descent down the fire break track to the start. Looks to be about 13 km and 500 m of vert in total. The forecast is for wind, so best to bring an extra layer, along with a head torch for likely THE VERY LAST TIME THIS YEAR!! See you there!
