It'll be another somewhat gentler run this week, keeping the usual distance but lowering the climbing. Meeting at the Silverstream/Whakaehu carpark at the intersection of Whare Flat and Silverstream Valley Roads, we'll head along to the end of Racemans (the weir at the bottom of Rain Gauge Spur), then turn around and head back to the start, with a small detour across Silverstream and the Powder Creek track. It should be around 13 km and only 100 m of undulating vert. There's likely to be a bit of mud and wet feet, so don't wear your best shoes. Headlamps are essential! If anybody needs a ride from town, please post in the comments.
