Areas & Points of Interest
This week we'll head back down the peninsula, meeting at the corner of Greenacres Street and Portobello Road in Macandrew Bay. The first few kilometres will be a nice and easy warm up, heading back along Te Awa Ōtākou towards town to reach the bottom of the District Track. This...ahem..."rugged" track takes us straight uphill to Highcliff Road. It's usually pretty overgrown but good fun. At the top, we'll head a short way along the road to head down Buskin track, swing a left, then head back up Paradise Track. We'll then head toward Pukehiki to the top of Greenacres, for the short decent back to the starting point. In total, it should be around 12 km and 600 m of vert. Here's a link to the planned route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3313443782760379148 We've had some great runs down the peninsula in the past and this one should be great fun too. See you there!
