The "Perfect Loop"

Isaac's in the lead this week and it'll be a goodie. Meeting at the Bullring on Whare Flat Road, we'll head up the firebreak track, continue onto Swampy Saddle, before taking a hard right down the Moon Track to reach the Nicols Creek MTB track, which we'll follow all the way down to Nichol Falls. From the waterfall, it's back uphill - eventually popping out onto the Pineapple Track just above the treeline. Upwards we'll keep going to reach the Flagstaff summit, before the quick descent back to the start. All up, it's a shade under 14 km distance and 750 metres of climbing. We're counting down to the end of headlamp season, but they'll still be required towards the end of the run. Remember an extra layer and, given the recent weather, grippy shoes.
