Route Details

Daniel has a great route planned this week for those not too battered and bruised by 3 Peaks. Meeting at the Sandfly Bay carpark at the end of Seal Point Road (see map), we'll send it down the dunes to the beach before diverting onto farm tracks beside Morris Creek to reach Ridge Road. Follow unpaved roads for a couple of kilometres, we'll make a circuit around Sandymount past Lovers Leap, take a short detour to the trig, and then a rapid descent back to Sandfly Bay beach. We'll then head along the beach - dodging the friendly sea lions - before climbing back up to the carpark. All up, it's about 12km in distance and 550m of total ascent. Remember to pack a warm layer and - while a head torch probably won't be required - it's a good idea to carry one just in case. Thanks again Daniel for leading this week and have fun out there.
