Route Details

Big thanks to Isaac for leading this week's run. It sounds like he's got a super fun mission planned! The run will start from the Silver Peak carpark (see location) and make a start along Possum Hut Route. Soon you will head onto Swampy Ridge Route, whose mud is notorious for stealing your shoes! From here you'll make your way up to Swampy Summit before heading down Rain Gauge Track and onto the infamous Green Gauge Track, which includes rope sections and some fun butt sliding if it's muddy. After surviving Green Gauge, you'll head back onto Possum Hut Route for a cruisy descent back to the cars. All up, this run is about 15km with about 800m of climbing. Some of these tracks are a bit more rugged and remote. Please make sure to pack a headtorch, food, water, and warm layers, etc., for this one, and your PLB/Garmin InReach if you have one. Should be great fun!

Didn't have the time or energy for Isaac's planned mission, and since I missed out last week, it's back to the Mt Cargill trig. Started out clear and warm, ended misty and cold
