Nick’s turn this week (btw still looking for offers for next week!) and he had a punishing run planned. I’ve managed to bend his arm and he’s shortened it a little. Meet at the base of the Pineapple Track (see location). You’ll ascend the Pineapple Track before heading north along Swampy Summit Track to the junction with Porkies Track. Descending Porkies, you’ll take Possum Busters back to the base of the Jim Freeman Track. Here begins the second grind uphill, past Ben Rudd Shelter, and onto the Firebreak Track. Once at the top of the Pineapple Track it’s a descent back to the cars +/- a diversion along McGouns Track. It’s a decent outing and covers two healthy climbs. I’m guessing it could be in the 12.5-13 km range and a joyous 750 metres (approx.) of total ascent. Thanks again to Nick for leading. Enjoy!
