Areas & Points of Interest
The weather looks more conducive to safe driving conditions this week, so we will re-run last week’s cancelled event. It should contain plenty of mud as we traverse the various tracks. There’ll be some relief on the unsealed roads on top of Swampy and the lower half of Leith Saddle Track. To refresh your minds, we’ll head along Pipeline Track before ascending Rustlers Track. We then cruise across Swampy and down the Leith Saddle Track and back to the vehicles. An estimated distance of 11 km and some 500 metres of total ascent. The evenings are a little lighter, so we’ll start in the fading light. Headlamps essential and probably wise to pack an extra layer in case it’s breezy on top. See you there.
