Soldier On.

We'll meet at the Tomahawk Lagoon Reserve and picnic area (see location). We immediately head onto the 41-Peg track, ascending to the Soldiers' Monument. Hopefully there will be clear skies (and the wind will have calmed down!) to accompany our climb and provide views. It is then time to hit the tarmac again along Highcliff Road to the junction with Karetai Road. There begins the wonderful descent down the road and track. Once at the base of the track there follows an undulating road run back to Tomahawk Lagoon Reserve Estimated distance of 11.2 km and around 420 metres of total ascent. Headlamps essential and bright reflective clothing advisable, as there is a fair bit of road on this route. Shoe selection entirely up to you! See you there!
