The weather looks to be clearing Thursday afternoon after a wet and windy night and morning. Some forecasts also suggest possibility of snow to 400 metres. So, to coincide with that forecast, we'll head higher than recent weeks! We'll meet at the pull-in area at the intersection of Laing and Flagstaff-Whare Flat Roads (see location). The planned route involves forestry roads and several familiar tracks. Most of the route is good underfoot, but typically there are sections that are a little slick underfoot. Come prepared with head lamp and some warm clothing. Estimated distance of 10.5-11 km and some 400-450 metres of total ascent. See you there.
