The same, but different.

It’s time to return to the mighty Cargill. Meet at the top of the motorway (see location) for a different approach! We'll head up the Skyline Track to the Lookout Rocks and onwards (down and up) along the Cloud Forests of Leith Track and forestry roads to the 3 Peaks Track. This route is a little muddy and tricky, but enjoyable. We'll then ascend the track and Cowan Road to Cargill's summit. Returning along the A H Reed Track and Cowan Road to the 3 Peaks Track, we'll descend the 3 Peaks route to Leith Valley Road. Time permitting we'll divert around Sullivans Dam on our way back to the cars. Come prepared as always; headlamps essential. Estimated to be around 11.5 km distance and 450 m of ascent.
