Areas & Points of Interest
The trail deities weren’t offended last year, but perhaps some of our absent regulars were? We had fun, so why not do it again! This week’s outing is an excuse for an icecream! Mind you, who needs an excuse? Starting at Mornington Park (see location) the route will take in some of the Town Belt’s paths and tracks. Obviously, there are unavoidable road sections and the conditions underfoot are pretty good (might be a road shoe selection). It is an undulating affair, with plenty of decent grinds and descents. The route specifics are: an estimated distance of 9 km; uncertain total ascent (perhaps 280 metres). This route is firmly in the category of the bring a brew up Signal Hill epics. It’s all in aid of a bit of fun and, let’s be honest, the best icecream in this part of the world. So, bring your wallet and join the Thursday 6 pm Tub Runners (extra kudos to anyone who indulges in a tub!).
