Muddy Good Fun

It is the season of mud and with the forecast wet this week, it should be plentiful. Meeting at the top of the northern motorway (see location), we'll start out down Leith Valley Road. Turning off before the tarseal we'll ascend the short access road to the 3 peaks track up to Powerline Road. True to form it has maintained its muddy nature. Squelching out of the bush we ascend Powerline Road and head to the top of the Leith Saddle Track. The top third of the Leith Saddle Track should continue the muddy theme, so care is required before hitting the beautiful benched track back the cars. Estimated distance of around 11 km and approximately 500-550 metres of ascent. Headlamp, layers and rainwear essential for this one! Might pay to throw a towel in the car.
