Areas & Points of Interest
There looks to be a southerly change forecast for late Thursday afternoon with the possibility of some precipitation. We haven't visited Grahams Bush track in a while, so that's where we are heading this week. However, we'll try something a little different. This week's run starts from the Port Chalmers Golf Club car park (see location). We'll ascend the challenging track from there to Cedar Farm Road. Passing the Reservoir we'll follow the recently crafted signs and tracks that they indicate out to Mt Cargill Road. Turning onto the tarmac we have a gentle ascent over 2 km to the top of Grahams Bush. We'll enjoy the descent (and a couple of sneaky ascents) down Grahams Bush before another tarmac section back to the Golf Club. Approximate distance of "a shade over 12 km" and some 580 metres of total ascent. Tricky decisions re footwear with a bit of tarmac thrown in, but the trails will be slick! See you there!
